From 1 July, all hiring of temporary multidiscipline engineering personnel for Aker Solutions will be managed by Aker Advantage. Aker Advantage is Aker Solutions’ in-house recruitment agency.
Aker Advantage will cooperate closely with the business units to rationalise their existing, overlapping recruitment activities. At our offices in Oslo, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim in Norway, the organisation of temporary hiring will be managed by Aker Advantage and staff from the business units involved in resource management and recruitment activities. Aker Advantage will continue to enhance their already close relationships with Aker Solutions’ operations in the UK, USA and Australia.
Aker Advantage responsible for hiring
Managing director of Aker Advantage, Jens Mellbye, says “From now on, the business units will no longer be contacting contractors or engaging external agencies directly. Aker Advantage will engage both contractors and external agencies in order to secure the staffing of qualified temporary engineering contractors for Aker Solutions”.
Contracts with external agencies will be transferred to Advantage in due course. Existing assignments with contractors will continue in accordance with the agreed terms.
Strengthening our recruitment capabilities
“I am also delighted to announce that Aker Advantage has recently recruited five new employees and established a new recruitment office in Kristiansand, all as part of our continued effort to further strengthen our recruitment capabilities.” says Mellbye. “Furthermore, Aker Advantage’s internal operations in Aberdeen have been reorganised to focus on recruitment by moving the back office functions to Stockton.”
We look forward to your commitment and cooperation in taking the actions needed to put these changes into effect - as soon as possible.
